The Clinic for ear, nose and throat, and the Clinic of Maxillofacial Surgery of the Clinical Center University of Sarajevo, from now on are located on the 14th and 15th floor of the Central Medical Block of CCUS’s. It is a modern building which will provide excellent care for their patients.
The first patients at the new premises should be treated in 15 days, and the official ceremonial opening took place yesterday. Chairman of the Presidency of B&H, Dragan Čović and the Director of CCUS, Rusmir Mesihović, officially cut the ribbon. The clinic is located on the 2,700 m2 with a capacity of 48 beds, 4 apartments as well as the 4 single beds on the post-intensive care.
“We are federal institution since 2013. FB&H was a guarantee several times for loans from which we realized this part of the CCUS. We are trying to increase the level of health care at the level that will allow us to seek less for the services outside of B&H,” said Mesihović.
Internal works lasted for 16 months. 50 % of the Central Medical Block is completed so far, and we need 30 million BAM to end the works that would put the object completely into operation. This does not include only modernization, but the need to find new accommodations for individual clinics that are currently operating in the old buildings and for which the inspection already gave their advice to move somewhere else.
Chairman of the Presidency of B&H, Dragan Čović, stated that he held several meetings with the Ministries of Health, and that he will work on reducing the burden from the clinics, which they were dealing with so far.
