Members of the Presidency of B&H thanked the United States for all that they have done for the people and citizens of B&H, and welcomed the continuous, friendly and active support that the USA provides to B&H.
Yesterday, the Presidency of B&H received a delegation of the United States, led by the former US President, William J. Clinton.
At the end of the meeting, it was emphasized that American help would be welcomed in the attempts of more intensive fulfilling of the necessary requirements for the accession to the European integration.
They emphasized the significance of fulfilling obligations on the European path, with particular focus on the industrial and economic reforms, as well as the solution of other issues that would bring B&H closer to the EU. They evaluated the existence of a general consent as very important and expressed good will of all participants of the political life of B&H in implementing reforms and achieving progress that will bring B&H closer to the EU.
The former US President Bill Clinton emphasized the willingness of the US to help the Euro-Atlantic integration of B&H. According to him, the US administration is strongly supporting the European integration of our country and the willingness of local government to implement the necessary reforms. The former US President as well as the members of the American delegation affirmed once again the friendship of the USA towards B&H, as well as their openness for help on the political and economic levels, which is also including the establishment of private-public partnerships in the US, intended to support the development of the economy.
