New video shows locations of officially registered nuclear bombs in the world. Many of them are located in the vicinity of big European cities such as London, Glasgow and Brussels.

According to Daily Mail, around 50 bombs have been ‘lost’ or accidentally moved to some other locations over years.

The closest nuclear bomb to Croatia is located in the north of Italy.

When it comes to the USA, nuclear bombs are located at ten places.

In the last 30 years, many countries gave up on possessing nuclear weapon. However, even 25 years after the Cold War, stocks of nuclear weapon are still unacceptably high.

Hans Kristensen and Robert Norris from the American Federation of Scientists are the leading experts in assessment and analysis and they have access to complete reports on nuclear weapon possessed by different states. Moreover, they run a graphical overview of the number of nuclear weapons in the world, which can be seen here.

It is estimated that there were 70.300 nuclear warheads at the peak of the race in nuclear arming in 1986. In 2016, the number drastically reduced to 15.530. Nevertheless, Norris and Kristensen noticed that the dropping rate of this dangerous number decreased in the past several years.

The USA has 7.000 nuclear warheads in total and Russia has 7.300. Of that number, 2.500 of them are waiting to be disassembled in the USA and 2.810 in Russia. Other countries that possess nuclear weapons are India, Pakistan, Israel and China, who keep it in reserve, while Great Britain and France also have reserves, but they also placed some of the weapons in strategic locations. It is believed that North Korea also has or might have nuclear weapon, but there is no reliable information about that.
