A sad procession with 30 coffins containing the remains of the victims of the genocide committed in the summer of 1995 in the area of Srebrenica arrived in Potočari, where a collective funeral and burial will be held on July 11.
After passing through Potočari, the column passed through the city, stopped at the mosque in the center of Srebrenica, and then returned to the former battery factory.
Mothers, brothers, sisters, fathers, as well as numerous relatives and friends arrived in front of the former Battery Factory in the complex of the Memorial Center Srebrenica – Potočari, to say goodbye to the murdered family members.
In silence, as in previous years, they formed two lines from the truck with the remains of the Srebrenica victims to the entrance to the former factory, in order to carry the coffins in their hands.
The remains of the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica, laid on 30 coffins, were sent away this morning from Visoko on their way to their final resting place – the Memorial Center in Potočari. The convoy also passed through the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo.
The coffins with the remains of the victims will be brought out tomorrow, July 10, in the Musala of the cemetery of the Srebrenica Memorial Center – Potočari.
