COM EUFOR Major General Martin Dorfer met with Presidency Member Sefik Dzaferovic

COM EUFOR Major General Martin Dorfer met for the first time with BiH Presidency Member Sefik Dzaferovic, in Sarajevo on Wednesday for an introductory visit to the elected member of the BiH Presidency and to discuss Bosnia and Herzegovina’s progress in the security and defense sector.

Other key topics were the demining activities and the destruction of surplus weapons and ammunition.

The significant amount of war remnants in BiH can still pose a threat to the safe and secure environment in BiH. The EUFOR Commander assured Mr. Dzaferovic his support to BiH in maintaining the safe and secure environment and to the Armed Forces of BiH.

In terms of the country’s path to European integration, Major General Dorfer underlined the vital and close cooperation with the EU delegation in BiH and the EU Special Representative.
