Sarajevo Airport plans to extend its work hours past midnight and become a 24-hour operational airport later this year.
In order for that to happen, the airport noted that all stakeholders must be sufficiently trained and there must be enough staff.
So far, two airlines have sent their requests to operate flights in the late night and early morning hours, however, the airport does not want to reveal which carriers have shown interest.
It is unknown when the airport might become operational throughout the night, although it is tipped to take place in May.
It is believed the development is in relation to a yet-to-be-named carrier which plans to establish a base at Sarajevo Airport, Ex Yu Aviation news reports.
