1a4Agreement on cooperation between the City of Sarajevo and the Austrian city of Bad Ischl will be signed tomorrow at 12:30 a.m. in the official hall of the Sarajevo City Hall.

After the signing of the agreement  on cooperation between Sarajevo and Bad Ischl, a concert of the Brass Band from this Austrian city will be held in front of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Sarajevo.

The agreement will be signed by the mayors Ivo Komšić and Hannes Heide, who will address the press afterwards.

Accordian Quartet of the High Musical School Sarajevo will participate in the artistic part of the program. The Brass Band from Bad Ischl will join the Quartet, performing two compositions in the auditorium of the City Hall. Starting from 1:30 p.m., they will parade through the old part of the city all the way to the Cathedral, where they will have a 30-minute concert for citizens and guests of Sarajevo.

Mayors Komšić and Heide have established relations for the first time while participating in the events during the jubilee year 2014. The history connected them. The assassination of the Austro-Hungarian Crown Prince Franz Ferdinand happened in Sarajevo on June 28, 1914. One month later, on July 28, a manifesto titled „To my people“ was signed in Bad Ischl, announcing the beginning of the First World War.

This destined connection of the two cities was confirmed with the signing of Agreement on cooperation on November 6 last year in bad Ischl. The agreement which is to be signed on Saturday by the mayors Komšić and Heide will strengthen the friendship and improve mutual cooperation in all areas of interest for the citizens of Sarajevo and Bad Ischl.
