A conference will be held in Sarajevo today called “Development Strategy and Experiences of the Region” in the framework of the series of conferences entitled “Economic and Legal Issues in the Context of EU Integration of BIH”, in the organization of the Joint Commission for economic reform and development of the BIH parliamentary assembly and in cooperation with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and USAID Project to strengthen the BIH Parliament.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Ermina Salkičević-Dizdarević will open the conference.
They will speak about the macroeconomic indicators and economic trends, and the officers are Ljerka Marić from the Directorate for Economic Planning of BIH, Slavica Penev from the Institute of Economic Sciences of Belgrade and Aleksandar Damjanović from the Committee for Economics, Finance and Budget of the Montenegrin Assembly.
Rajko Tomaš from the Economics Faculty Banja Luka, Vjekoslav Domljan from the University in Mostar and Muamer Halilbašić from the Economics Institute in Sarajevo will speak on the topic “Development Strategy and Competitiveness in BiH”.
They estimate that the discussion on this topic is essential to start planning the economic development of BiH in a way to determine the priorities to achieve a faster and better quality economic development.
According to the organizers of the conference, in doing so, the exchange of experiences with colleagues from neighboring countries and opinions and suggestions from this area would be of huge assistance and in the planning of steps necessary to facilitate the steps towards the EU.
