The OSCE Mission to BiH and Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Central Bosnia Canton (SBK) will organize tomorrow in Vitez a conference entitled “Prevention of Violence in Schools”.

The OSCE announced that quality education for all children involves mutual respect, communication and cooperation, and this is not possible without a safe and inclusive educational environment.

The goal of this conference is to attract attention to the problem of violence in schools in the Central Bosnia Canton, as well as the need to undertake joint efforts for solutions.

The conference also marks the beginning of a joint project of the OSCE Mission and the Cantonal Ministry for the long-term project “Prevent Violence in Schools in the Central Bosnia Canton”.

Participation is expected from the Ministry for Education in the Central Bosnia and Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Center for Social Work, educational and pedagogical institutions, police, citizen associations and non-profit organizations.

The Minister for Education, Science, Culture and Sport for Central Bosnia Canton Jozo Jurina will open the conference.

The conference will be held in hotel “Central”, and an address to media will take place at 10:30.
