Housing Program novovrijeme.baMinister for Human Right and Refugees of B&H Semiha Borovac, the entity ministers and mayors of 19 municipalities signed yesterday the agreements of cooperation on the implementation of the State project of housing within the Regional residential project worth 30 million BAM, for the provision of housing for 438 families.

Borovac highlighted that the housing will be provided for the most endangered categories of the society that have been waiting for a roof above their heads for 20 years.

“Municipalities and entity ministries will have to do a lot of work. Concrete deadlines for implementation will be agreed upon today already,” Borovac said.

All municipalities are expected to make decisions about ways of providing housing for these people within 60 days. The apartments will remain in the ownership of municipalities.

Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees of FB&H Edin Ramić said that agreements were signed yesterday with nine municipalities in FB&H.

“In the third stage, it is foreseen that we design new 278 residential units, which is a very small number in relation to the total number of those interested, given that there are more than 9,000 interested families after two public calls,” Ramić said.

Of the total amount intended for the entire Regional residential project, which is 1.2 billion BAM, 200 million BAM are intended for B&H.
