In the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the construction of another highway that would connect with Corridor 5C could soon begin.
It is about the so-called Adriatic-Ionian highway, which would be built through Herzegovina, and would connect with Corridor 5C near Počitelje, reports BiznisInfo.ba. From the Počitelj node, it would go through the territory of Stolac to Trebinje, and further to Montenegro.
It is not yet known when construction will begin. However, a significant step was taken with the preparation of the Environmental Impact Study, which will be presented at the end of this month.
It is a study related to the first section of this road, Stolac – Počitelj intersection, with a length of 23.5 kilometers.
The first public hearing will be held in Stolac on November 30, 2023, and the second in Čapljina a day later.
At the discussion, there will be a presentation of the Environmental Impact Study and it will be possible to ask questions.
The documentation for the subject Environmental Impact Study is available for inspection at the premises of the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism.
The documentation is also available for inspection in the premises of JP Autocesta FBiH.
