The BiH Minister of Security Fahrudin Radončić and the Minister of Internal Affairs of Croatia Ranko Ostojić spoke today in Dubrovnik on the agreement between the BiH Council of Ministers and the Croatian government on visa liberalization related to the recognition of BiH ID cards as a document that BiH citizens can use to cross the border after Croatia enters the EU.

At the bilateral meeting held in Dubrovnik, the Minister of Security again said that this is one of the most important questions that the two countries have to solve before Croatia enters the EU. He requested the continued support of the Interior Minister of Croatia.

The Minister of Security received the assurance of the Interior Minister that the Interior Ministry of Croatia and the Croatian authorities will give full support to this proposal, and that in connection to this question will contact the relevant EU authorities to win the approval of all EU members.

BiH will supply Croatia with all the relevant information that is necessary so that Croatia’s request to the EU would contain an efficient explanation.

The Council of Ministers at the 38th session delegated to the Ministry of Security to continue talks at a bilateral level with Croatia regarding the agreement between Croatia and BiH on visa liberalization.
