Council of Ministers allocates One Million BAM for Remediation of the Consequences of Floods

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) passed the Decision on the distribution of funds of the current reserve of the Budget of the institutions of BiH and international obligations of BiH for 2023 to the Ministry of Security of BiH for remediation of the consequences of the floods from May this year with corrections at the session.

The decision allocates funds in the amount of one million BAM from the current budget reserve approved by the BiH Council of Ministers in its decision at the 12th session for remediation of the consequences of the floods in BiH, namely 500.000 BAM each for the most threatened municipalities and cities in the Federation of BiH (FBiH) and the Republika Srpska (RS).

In the FBiH, these funds are allocated to the most threatened cities and municipalities, and funds are allocated in appropriate amounts to Bihac, Bosanska Krupa, Sanski Most, Buzim and Bosanski Petrovac, Velika Kladusa and Celic (50.000 BAM each), Cazin (100.000 BAM) and Teocak and Sapna (25.000 BAM each).

In the RS, 500 thousand BAM is allocated to the most threatened municipalities, namely Novi Grad (200.000 BAM) and Prijedor, Kozarska Dubica, and Kostajnica (100.000 BAM each).
