The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has confirmed the indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, charging the accused Osman Mehmedagić with committing the criminal offense of abuse of office or authority under Article 220, paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina by the actions described in the indictment.

The accused is charged with having performed the aforementioned duty from November 2019 to February 27, 2023, i.e. until the dismissal of the Director General of the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (OSABiH), even though he did not possess a university degree, which is prescribed by law as a condition for performing this function, thereby abusing his official position in order to enable himself to continue in office and thus maintain official and social influence, and to obtain material benefit in the form of salary, for a function for which he did not meet the conditions prescribed by law.

In this regard, the indictment charges him with having, through the aforementioned illegal actions, obtained for himself illegal material gain in the amount of 293,046.58 BAM, for which he damaged the budget of BiH, according to the Court of BiH.
