The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the proposal of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, issued a decision on the extension of the detention measures for the suspects Ranko Debevec and Osman Mehmedagić, which according to this decision can last no longer than one month, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina said.

The one-month detention of Debevec and Mehmedagić can last until March 15 or until a new decision by the Court.

They were arrested two months ago, and since then they have been in custody for a series of crimes they are charged with, from abuse of position, destruction of evidence of illegal wiretapping, false representation, accepting bribes.

At yesterday’s hearing for the extension of detention, the Prosecution’s information was presented that Debevec falsely presented himself as an agent of the Intelligence and Security Agency /OBA/, which was made possible by former director Mehmedagić.

Details from the Court about receiving gifts from fugitives and suspects against whom legal proceedings were conducted in the Court, up to the meeting with convicted murderer Đorđe Ždral, are also shocking.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced that major investigations are yet to follow and that the hearing of witnesses from the OBA, as well as the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, will reveal numerous irregularities in the work of Debevac and Mehmedagić, who will only get a clearer picture of how this duo managed judicial processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the coming period. and in return made enormous financial gains.

Debevec and Mehmedagić were arrested on December 19 last year.
