The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Covic congratulated the president of the People’s Party of Austria (OVP) Sebastian Kurz on his victory in yesterday’s extraordinary parliamentary elections.

“I am honored and pleased to, as the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH and in my personal name, send you sincere congratulations on the occasion of the success of the Austrian People’s Party under your leadership, realized at today’s extraordinary parliamentary elections in the Republic of Austria,” he wrote.

He added that the result they achieved was a continuation of Kurz’s strong mandate following political steps and that he said that he would fulfill the expectation of those who voted for him through dedicated and responsible work.

“I deeply believe that we will continue our cooperation and further deepen and strengthen the long-standing, friendly relations between our two countries in the benefit of our people and open new ways of better cooperation at all levels. We, as a country active on the Euro-Atlantic path, need your strong support, which, I am convinced, will not be left out in the future,” Covic said.

He wished Kurz much energy and success in realizing the tasks and challenges ahead.
