Crnadak met with the Foreign Minister of Malta Today

george minister maltaMinister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Igor Crnadak met today with Foreign Minister of the Republic of Malta George W. Vella.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malta said that today’s meeting is a continuation of previous agreements and cooperation between the two countries.

“The focus of today’s meeting was to strengthen ties between two countries, and it has opened up all kinds of questions when it comes to investments. We express our readiness to assist BiH, especially in tourism and the development of the market. When it comes to the presidency of the EU, which we’ll take, it is important to stress that the EU is interested in BiH “, said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malta.

“Special attention will be paid to security in the region, which is vital and important for the EU which is monitoring the situation in the Balkans and will be seeking to establish peace and stability. On the way to the EU, all countries have undergone the same treatment, and it is important to emphasize that BiH should take power in certain procedures and  needs to move towards the EU and towards the reconciliation, “said George William Vell.

“Today we have confirmed that the focus of the EU presidency remains the enlargement policy and the position that the Western Balkans must be integrated into the EU. Everything that happens in BiH will be closely monitored. There has been progress that took place in 2016. and we expect that at least in this year or early next year we will obtain the candidate status, and I hope that we will finish the Questionnaire of the EC in the first six months of this year, “said Crnadak.

He added that BiH must strengthen economic and foreign trade relations, as well as the possibility of additional investment from Malta in BiH.
