In 2024, Croatia recorded over 21.3 million arrivals and more than 108.7 million overnight stays, marking a 4% increase in arrivals and a 1% increase in overnight stays compared to 2023.

“With all the results as well as financial indicators, we can be satisfied because we have achieved yet another record year,” stated the Croatian Minister of Tourism and Sports, Tonci Glavina.

Glavina shared on the social media platform X that last year tourists in Croatia generated fiscalized receipts worth 7.299 billion euros, which is 11.5% more than in 2023.

“What particularly delights us is that the most significant growth occurred during the pre-season and post-season, confirming that we are becoming a year-round tourism destination,” Glavina said.

From January 1st to May 31st, Croatia recorded 11% more arrivals and 12.5% more overnight stays, while from October 1st to December 31st, it saw a 10.3% increase in arrivals and a 9.7% increase in overnight stays. Glavina emphasized that in 2025, the primary focus for tourists when choosing a vacation destination will be the balance between price and quality. Therefore, it is crucial for all tourism stakeholders to set service prices rationally.
