Fewer tourists visited Croatia in July than in the same month last year, the media announced today.

According to the data transmitted by Croatian Radio-Television, there were 4,670,000 tourists in July, or about three percent less than in July last year, while the number of overnight stays was 29,450,000, which is at the level of that month last year.

All Adriatic counties, except for Dubrovnik-Neretva, had fewer tourists in July than in the same month last year, while overnight stays in most of them were almost the same as last year or a little more, according to the latest data of the Croatian Tourist Board, reported by the Hina agency.

Thus, in the Adriatic counties, there were a total of 155,000 less tourists in July than in July last year, or 3.4 percent less.

The Dubrovnik-Neretva County was the only one with an increase of about 0.6 percent in July, that is, about 2,600 more tourists.

In the continental part of the country, the most tourists were in Zagreb, which was visited by 1.3 percent more tourists in July, but there were fewer overnight stays than in July last year.

Although the data show a weaker arrival of tourists in July, according to the available data, in the first seven months of this year, there were three percent more tourists than in the same period last year, or about 12 million, and they achieved one percent more overnight stays, or 54.7 million.
