Major Police Action against organized Crime underway in Sarajevo

Police officers of the Police Department of the MUP of the Sarajevo Canton, in cooperation with the officers of the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, have been conducting the operational-tactical action “Catering” in the area of ​​several municipalities of the Sarajevo Canton since this morning.

As stated by the Canton Sarajevo Ministry of Internal Affairs, the “Catering” action is being carried out under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Sarajevo Canton.

They also added that, in cooperation with the Police Department of the Ministry of Interior of the SBK, the action is being carried out in the area of ​​that canton as well.

Numerous media have published, for now unconfirmed information, that among those arrested are Admir Arnautović, known as Šmrk, Anel Sejfović, aka Pele, and Adnan Maglić. They are suspected of several crimes. According to the information of the Report, a total of 14 people have been included in the action so far, while police officers are conducting searches in as many as 21 locations.

According to the information so far, the suspects are linked to a number of serious crimes, including extortion, racketeering, arson and illegal drug trade.

Anel Sejfović, who is among those arrested, is the cousin of Amel Sejfović, one of the previously convicted Sarajevo criminals, who is serving a multi-year prison sentence.

The police action is still ongoing, and after the end of the search, more detailed information is expected from the competent institutions about all the persons included in the investigation, as well as the suspected criminal acts.
