Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković stated that since the beginning of his mandate, the Croatian government has significantly increased investments for Croats abroad, so that the total allocations ten years ago amounted to 16 million euros per year, and this year they amount to 203 million euros.
“This has enabled us to implement numerous projects throughout the countries where Croats live – said the Croatian Prime Minister at the first session of the fourth convocation of the Council for Croats Abroad, adding that almost 820 million euros have been invested in projects in the past ten years.”
He also said that Croatia has strong political and economic cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina and significant investments, and the exchange between these two countries amounts to as much as 4 billion euros.
He said that Croatia has chosen to finance several projects that are a kind of lighthouses visible to everyone.
“These projects are the construction of the Croatian National Theater in Mostar, continuous support for the University of Mostar and the University Clinical Hospital, and support for the media used by Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” he emphasized.
The Croatian Prime Minister earlier on Friday at the X said that the Croatian Government has a permanent task to take care of Croats outside Croatia.
“For Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a constituent people,” it is important to ensure full equality of all three constituent peoples – said Plenković.
