Despite the conflicts in the world, we need to achieve our future goals, said the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović at the panel discussion of the 11th Global Baku Forum on the topic of “Repairing a Broken World”.

Cvijanović assessed that one-sidedness prevails in the world.

“We see that multilateralism is at a non-existent level. We should strive for real politics to fill the gaps. International relations show that we must expand our skills and habits, and open new horizons for the future. Starting with the United Nations, we should unite our forces and increase our efforts.” , said Cvijanovic.

As a reminder, the Forum in Baku will last until March 16, and will include global discussions on the results of COP 28 and preparations for COP29.

Participants will also discuss the challenges that threaten the world order, including security issues, prospects for securing peace and building stability in the world. In addition, the Forum will address world-shaking conflicts and major threats, including challenges related to climate, food, nuclear security.

At the same time, the Forum will focus on the roles of military and economic alliances in global governance, regional perspectives, relations with the European Union and its neighbors, youth policy, ways to increase resilience to global challenges, inequality, lack of natural resources, migration, artificial intelligence, drones .

This year, the Forum has almost 400 participants from all over the world.

Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović is a participant in the War and Peace panel. In addition to Cvijanović, Mladen Ivanić, a former member of the BiH Presidency, is also at the Forum, and the moderator of the panel that talks about the future is BiH Ambassador to the UN, Zlatko Lagumdžija.
