Czech Republic reserve soldiers arrived at Sarajevo International Airport today, the European Union Force Headquarters (EUFOR) announced.

“EUFOR Deputy Commander, Brigadier General Lorenzo Dal Maso warmly welcomed the soldiers upon their arrival,” the statement on Facebook reads.

In the coming days, EUFOR forces will be reinforced with soldiers, vehicles and helicopters from the Czech Republic, Italy and Romania.

The first contingent of soldiers from Romania arrived in our country yesterday.

EUFOR thanked citizens for their understanding and asked that all road users follow the instructions of the competent authorities during the transport of military equipment.

The political crisis and tension in Bosnia and Herzegovina intensified with the adoption and subsequent signing of a decree on the implementation of the law in Republika Srpska, which prohibits the work of state judicial institutions and police agencies in that entity.

The decrees were signed by the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, who was sentenced in the first instance in late February to a year in prison and was banned from holding the office of President of Republika Srpska for six years for failing to comply with the decisions of the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt.

The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina temporarily suspended the laws.
