Cyclists and adventurer Dado Delic from BiH returned to Sarajevo after he crossed 11,500 kilometers in ten months passed on his bike.
“With bike through the meridians and parallels” on his trip, Delic went through Kyrgyzstan, India, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, China, and Japan.
His expedition started on the 27th of April 2016 and lasted for 288 days.
I changed my route plan a few times, and I visited some countries that I have not planned at first. The biggest challenge was my passage through the mountains of Pamir. I met a lot of people, and now we are good friends,” said Delic.
The biggest challenge and also the greatest satisfaction was the passage through the mountains of Pamir.
“I’ll remember it forever. I was really impressed with the people of Central Asia and their hospitality and I am happy I was able to develop friendships that will surely last for a long period of time,” said Delic.
With this project and the campaign “The Rolling Drifter – Cycling around the Globe”, a young man from BiH is raising awareness about the problem of global warming, the fight for a world without borders and promote cycling as a recreation and environmentally friendly form of transport for the last two and a half years.
