Dairy “Meggle” from Bihac will start with the production of butter soon, with which the product range of this company will be expanded.
According to the director of this dairy, Kemal Hrnjic, they will be the only daughter company of German company Meggle outside the borders of that country that will produce this dairy product.
“This is another confirmation of our great work and the quality of our product, and we need to emphasize that the production of butter in BiH is negligible. Moreover, due to the decrease in the production of milk throughout Europe, the price of butter in the market has been significantly increased,” said Hrnjic.
This dairy, which is the largest buyer of milk in Una-Sana Canton, is recording an increase in the production. In the first nine months of this year, a total of 2.2 million liters of milk were purchased and processed, which is an increase of 6 % in comparison to the same period last year.
“After several years of a decrease that was recorded in the production of milk, we are now recording production growth, which is a good thing. Our policy of a gradual increase in purchase prices had an impact on this, and it resulted in the stabilization of the production of milk.”
