Davis Cup: Brkic defeated Garanganga, Fatic handed Match due to Illness

Davis CupIn the fourth match of the Davis Cup meeting of Zimbabwe and BiH, our tennis player Tomislav Brkic defeated Takany Garanganga with the result of 2:1 in sets (6:7, 7:6, 7:5) for the total leadership of BiH of 4:0.

After the team of BiH ensured the placement to the 2nd round of Davis Cup on the second day of the tournament, it was decide to play matches of the last day of tournament to 2 obtained sets.

Our captain Amer Delic used the right to change players, so today in the first match, Tomislav Brkic played instead of Damir Dzumhur.

In the last match, our tennis player Nerman Fatic, after the first lost set with the result 6:3 from Benjamin Lock, handed match due to illness that suddenly deteriorated, so the final result was 1:4 for BiH.

In the second round of Davis Cup, BiH will meet the team of Hungary, that was better than Moldova in the first round. Matches of the second round will be held from  17th to 19th July, and the third final round will be played in September. The goal of the Tennis National team of BiH is to win in all three round and to qualify for the I Group of E/a zone of Davis Cup.
