Four young people between the ages of 19 and 21 were killed in a car accident near Livno on Thursday night, Oslobodenje news portal reports.
The funeral will be held on Sunday in the town of Strupnic for the three of them: for Jozo Matkovic at 1 pm, for Slavica and Vlado Vujev at 2 pm, while Ivana Rimac will be buried in Celebici at 3 pm.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, it is planned that funerals will only be attended by close members of the family. The accident happened just before midnight between Thursday and Friday on the road connecting Livno and Bosansko Grahovo, when a Land Rover SUV, driven by a 46-year-old from Livno, and a 21-year-old Golf, also from, collided directly.
The driver of the Golf and a 20-year-old girl who was in the front seat were killed, a young man and a girl, who were in the back seat in that car, were badly injured and passed away at a hospital in Livno.
The 38-year-old, who was a passenger in a Land Rover, was also seriously injured, while the driver was slightly injured. The Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office announced that an autopsy on the bodies of the victims will be carried out. It is not clear where the victims were going because, at the time of the accident, a curfew and a complete ban on movement were in effect.
