What has been decided on the Meeting between Covic and Radoncic?

radoncic-covicPresident of HDZ BiH Dragan Covic yesterday met with the coalition partners, first with the President of the SDA, Bakir Izetbegovic, and then President of SBB, Fahrudin Radoncic. Their common view is that the coalition is stable, but the way of coalition is debatable.

Radoncic had the objections to the way of coalition, who said that it is unacceptable that the partners in the government discuss a topic for three or four times.

“The coalition is not controversial and it is stable, but the way of coalition is debatable. We cannot talk on the same subject for three or four times and not to solve problems, and we cannot justify the lack of compromise by the local elections,” said Radoncic.

Dragan Covic also said that coalition partners must work faster, especially when it comes to European path of BiH.

He added that SBB is insisting on a much faster solvation of the situation in FBiH and faster construction of infrastructure.

“In the next two months, we are planning to get the questionnaire to finish the story on the implementation of the judgment of the Court in Strasbourg by the end of January, to answer the questionnaire by the end of March and ultimately get the candidate status by the end of next year,” said Covic, and added that the master plan was adopted and presented to the European Commission and there will be no deviations.

Covic briefly commented on the disruption of elections in Stolac, saying that he expects adequate response from the competent institutions.

“Politics is the key to everything, because if it was not we would not have what we now have in Stolac, but I think that the situation in Mostar cannot be repeated. If someone made a mess at the polling station, he must be punished regardless of the reason. I expect the institutions to do their job in this case,” concluded Covic.
