The total number of tourist arrivals in February 2020 in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina entity was 43,841, which is eight percent less than in February 2019 and 16.3 percent less than in January 2020.
The share of domestic tourists was 38.9 percent, and that of foreign tourists was 61.1 percent.
The total number of overnight stays in February 2020 amounted to 82,114, which is 15.9 percent less than in February 2019 and 24 percent less than in January 2020.
The share of domestic tourists in the total number of nights was 35.4 percent, and foreign tourists 64.6 percent. By type of accommodation facility, the largest number of overnight stays was realized within the category hotels and similar accommodation with a share of 94.2 percent.
According to the data of the Federal Bureau of Statistics in the structure of overnight stays of foreign tourists, tourists from Croatia (24.3 percent), Serbia (9.1 percent), Turkey (5.5 percent), Slovenia (5.4 percent) and Germany (4.9 percent), a total of 49.2 percent. Tourists from other countries accounted for 50.8 percent of overnight stays.
The number of beds available in February 2020 was 27,660, down nine percent from February 2019. The net bed occupancy rate for the type of hotels and similar accommodation in the Federation of BiH was 28.3 percent in February.
