TE Kakanj II_2A delegation of business people from Kakanj, led by Director General of the Directorate for coal in Turkey Osman Coşkun, visited Kakanj today. After a visit to the thermal plant “Kakanj” and to the coal mine “Kakanj’, a reception at the mayor’s office was held.

On the basis of earlier business contacts between members of the delegation and the Director of RMU “Kakanj” Mirsad Jašarspahić held in Ankara, Tuzla and other places, representatives of the General Directorate for coal in Turkey decided to visit Kakanj in order to become familiar with the opportunities for investment, benefits for investors and development opportunities.

“It is known to everyone the economic rise of Turkey in the last ten years, and therefore the necessary foreign investment in BiH is one of the priorities when it comes to our preferences for investment’’, said Coşkun during the visit.

Based on his assessment, he is certain that the time is coming when Turkish investors in BiH would continue to work on big projects.

“I will point out that this is my first visit to Kakanj. What we saw during the visit was very important. We have not yet conducted an analysis, but according to my personal assessment, this is the most interesting opportunity that we have seen’’, he added.

Mayor of the municipality Nermin Mandra expressed his satisfaction with the fact that there is stronger interest to invest in Kakanj.

Mandra said that he looks forward to every visit of a businessperson in Kakanj.
