Delegation of the House of Representatives of B&H Parliamentary Assembly consisting of the Chairman of the House of Representatives Denis Bećirović and the House of Representatives Deputy, Dragan Vrankić in Athens during an official visit spoke with members of the Parliamentary Friendship Groups of Greece and B&H.
During the meeting it was concluded that B&H and the Republic of Greece have good and friendly political relations, and there are good conditions for further development and stronger relations in the economic, cultural, scientific, and educational or any other plan.
Bećirović stressed the interests of both countries in many areas, especially the foreign policy objectives of B&H to become a member of the European Union and NATO, and the countries of the region of Southeast Europe to become members of these organizations is a desire of Greece as well.
Greece recognized the Republic of B&H in April, 1992 and diplomatic relations with B&H established on 30.11.1995.
Greece opened the embassy in Sarajevo on 11.23.1996 and B&H opened its embassy in Athens on September 1998.
