Shopping mall Delta Planet in Banja Luka, into which 70 million Euros was invested, will open its doors for shoppers next autumn, since the official opening is scheduled for then, according to Delta Holdings.

Construction of this shopping mall is underway, while the cornerstone was laid down on June 29th and the building will be 62,500 square meters large.

According to Marija Desivojevic-Cvetkovic, a senior vice-president of Delta Holding for strategy and development, the major development plans of this firm in Republika Srpska (RS), one of the two entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), are focused on construction of Delta Planet.

“For now, we don’t have a project of that size in RS. However, if we find a good opportunity, we’re ready to make quick decisions,” Desivojevic-Cvetkovic said.

During a media visit to Delta Holdings in Belgrade, Delta said that they’re focused on real estate in Serbia, countries of the region and the European Union.

Towards the end of the September, the hotel InterContinental in Ljubljana will be opened, which cost 50 million Euros. Delta has stated that they wish to build more such hotels in the region.

In the first six months of this year, the profits of Delta Holdings, led by Miroslav Miskovic, was 243 million Euros, which is a 13% growth compared to the same period last year.

The largest part in the profit, more than 50%, was realized by Delta Agrar, followed by Deltra Distribution. Reporters from BiH, Croati and Slovenia toured the property Napredak in Stara Pazovi, a pig farm, property Podunavlje in Celareva and an apple field.

Production in Celarevo is on 500 hectares, while in Zajecaro on 100.

“We’ve planned to expand production of apples. The export of this company in that field was 7,85 million Euros in the first two quartiles in this year,” they said from Delta Agrar.

They said that their next step is to enter the stock market in London or Warsaw, which was confirmed by Miskovic in an informal gathering with reporters.

“Entering the stock market will valorize the value of the company, which will also mean a different management structure,” Ivan Kostic, the vice president for agriculture said.

A humanitarian apple picking contest was organized for reporters, while the amount of apples picked, matched by the company, were donated to Center for Children and Youth Disrupted in Development in Veternika.
