Deputies of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH should declare on the initiative of deputies of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Denis Becirovic, who envisages depoliticisation of the Presidency of BiH, at the meeting that is scheduled for today, the 14th of December.
The initiative obliges the Council of Ministers of BiH within a period of six months to prepare and submit amendments to the Election Law to the parliamentary procedure, which stipulates that an elected member of the Presidency of BiH must not be member of political parties, and after taking the duty, shall resign from the party and shall notify the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
As Becirovic explained, the Presidency of BiH, in line with the region and the European Union, must be depoliticised and create a legal presumption that the elected members of the Presidency perform their functions professionally, responsibly and in the interest of all citizens, as announced from the Department of Public Relations of SDP BiH.
