Dilberović: Germany is not considering introducing visas for BiH

BiH does not violate the conditions for visa liberalization, said the BiH Ambassador in Germany, Edin Dilberović, for FENA Agency.

According to him, in comparison to other countries in the European Union, there is a small problem due to the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH, which federal provinces require and which are responsible to treat asylum seekers in accordance to the law.

That is why the procedure to check the status of asylum seekers takes longer than in other countries, and it also costs more.

“As far as BiH and Germany is concerned, attention is drawn at all levels that BiH is not a problematic country and that nobody is considering introducing visas in BiH. That is the only thing that is relevant for us, and we have informed the relevant institutions regarding this issue“, said Ambassador Dilberović.

He characterized all other statements as media taglines.

He added that negotiations are still underway, and that the BiH Minister of Security started projects with German provinces , which are most affected by the influx of asylum seekers, in order to ease the situation in the future.

“Regarding BiH and Germany, BiH is not a problem“, concludes Ambassador Dilberović.
