At today’s meeting, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina gave preliminary approval for the appointment of the acting director of Sarajevo International Airport, Dino Selimović, whose appointment should soon be confirmed by the Supervisory Board.

Selimović will perform this function in an acting capacity until the end of the competition procedure, and for a maximum period of up to 12 months.

Before this engagement, he worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the sector for economic affairs and economic diplomacy, while he was previously employed at BBI Bank.

In the period from 2011-2016, he was the general manager of the Sarajevo Football Club. During his mandate, Football Club Sarajevo, after a long waiting period, managed to win the title of winner of the BiH Cup, the state champion’s trophy and place in the Play Off of the European League.

He comes to the head of the Sarajevo airport at a time when the interest of the United States of America for the concession of this airport, as well as the Mostar airport, is growing.

In addition to Selimović, Amadeo Mandić was appointed acting executive director for traffic and air traffic services and Slobodan Kadijević as acting executive director for airport development for the same period. Mandić and Kadijević were previously part of the Aerodrom management, Mandić as a director in the period after the dismissal of the previous management, which followed the initiation of the POSKOK investigation.
