Record Production in Prijedorčanka Company

sljive_gajbeThe factory for the processing fruits “Prijedorčanka” from Prijedor achieved a record production last year, because it bought 17.600 tons of fruit and exceeded their plan of 15.500 tons, announced the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management in the RS. The most that was bought was industrial apples and plums-7.500, or 6.900 tons, followed by pears (1.840 tons), raspberries (175 tons), strawberries (160 tons), quince (130 tons) and apricots and other fruits from this region (100 tons)

Processors in the RS had the opportunity in 2013 to use loan funds from the Investment-Development Bank, at a favorable interest rate of four percent for the purchase of domestic raw materials.

Last year in the RS, there was higher production of sour cherries by 42,5 percent, sweet cherries by 33,5 percent, apricots by 23,5 percent and strawberries by 3,3 percent, while the production raspberries is less by 0,6 percent, said in a statement.
