Director of CIA arrived at the Presidency of BiH

Director of the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States of America, William J. Burns, arrived at the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He arrived in Sarajevo today to hold several meetings, including a meeting with the director of the Intelligence and Security Agency (OSA), Almir Džuvo.

Burns, as US Deputy Secretary of State, visited our country in 2012 and spoke with members of the BiH Presidency, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country.
In February 2012, then members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić, Bakir Izetbegović and Nebojša Radmanović received Burns in the building of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo.

Burns then expressed the support and commitment of the USA to the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina on its Euro-Atlantic path.

What is interesting is that Burns then showed a special interest in the issue of the functioning of state property and the problems that are current in that context.

“At all my meetings, I clearly said that we remain firmly committed to and support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Dayton Peace Agreement,” Burns said in 2012 during a visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Burns was appointed to the position of CIA Director in 2021, and President Biden promoted him to the Cabinet in June 2023.

During his rich and long service, Burns served six presidential administrations and his career spans more than four decades, Klix.ba writes.
