Prof. doctor Ismet Dizdarević passed away at the age of 89.
Dizdarević is the first doctor of psychological sciences in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He published over 200 scientific and professional works. He was the editor of the magazines Porodica i dijete, Odjek, Prosvjetni list, Revija za psihologiju.
He was vice-president and president of the Association of Psychologists of Bosnia and Herzegovina, president of the Union of Associations for Professional Orientation of Yugoslavia. He received the “Veselin Masleša” award and the Sixth of April Award of the City of Sarajevo (1991).
He was born in 1934 in Mostar, and completed primary and secondary (teacher’s) school in his hometown.
