Doctor Mohamed El Ran, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was released and will soon leave Egypt for Bosnia and Herzegovina. He asked to be evacuated from Gaza, but was arrested by Israeli authorities, even though he had previously been granted an exit permit.

This news was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is stated that Mohamed El Ran is currently in Egypt and is awaiting transport to our country.

“We owe a great deal of gratitude to our ambassador in Israel, Duško Kovačević, who made great efforts every day to keep us informed about the condition of our citizen, and ultimately to release him,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After the beginning of the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina, El Ran joined the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the Pofalići detachment.

As a member of the RBiH Army, he was a direct participant in the key battles for the defense of Sarajevo: the Battle of Pofalići and the Battle of Žuč.
