SNSD President Milorad Dodik said that the party’s strength in the future will be the strength of Republika Srpska.
“Emphasizing the need for mobilization for the next elections is already valid,” Dodik said at a meeting of the SNSD Main Board in Prijedor.
He stated that the collapse of the party’s strength can only come from within and that external attacks have not been successful, Srna news agency writes.
“The orderliness of our organization will determine the fate of this country. The strength of our organization in the future will be the strength of Republika Srpska,” Dodik said.
He added that the results are the only relevant indicators.
“If you have them, you have said everything, if you don’t have them, keep quiet. That is why I emphasize that we all remember the results of 2024 well,” Dodik said.
Dodik: Situation at the level of BiH unstableSouvenirs
The SNSD President assessed that the situation at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina is unstable and that, as he says, “foreign interventionism and the activities of unconstitutional institutions” contribute to this.
“The situation at the level of BiH is unstable and BiH is a country in disintegration. This disintegration is creeping, and attacks on the Constitution and the Dayton Agreement are contributing to this,” Dodik said.
Dodik also said that the SNSD party has launched an initiative to annul all decisions and laws that were not adopted in accordance with the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasizing that Republika Srpska does not recognize any decision of the High Representative Christian Schmidt.
“The Republika Srpska, as a signatory to the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has the right to temporarily suspend all acts that were adopted outside the Constitution of BiH, and we in the RS remain committed to that,” said the SNSD leader.
Dodik emphasizes that the political situation in BiH is extremely unstable and that the SNSD believes that the Dayton Agreement was destroyed by the actions of, as he stated, “unconstitutional factors such as Schmidt, the Court and Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, and the unconstitutionally conceived Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
Dodik says that the SNSD Main Board insists on the consistent application of the Constitution of BiH and the laws of Republika Srpska and the Dayton Agreement, adding that it is therefore necessary to intensify the decisive fight to preserve the Constitution of BiH.
“If that does not happen, we will have to return to the Main Board session and conclude that the Dayton Agreement and BiH have been destroyed because we have failed to deal with those factors that want to organize BiH outside the Constitution,” Dodik said.
SNSD Vice President Željka Cvijanović pointed out that the SNSD wins all its victories in elections, where voters vote, and does not seek victory, as she said, “on the streets, in Sarajevo offices or foreign embassies.”
“In the past local elections, we achieved a great victory despite all the pressures, sanctions, and slander. No other party in Republika Srpska, or in the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has the strength to withstand such pressure,” said Cvijanović.
The President of the SNSD Election Headquarters for the 2024 local elections, Igor Dodik, presented a report on the election results, emphasizing that the best election results have been achieved since the party’s existence.
“If we were to apply these results to the general elections, we would have 34 MPs. And that is our goal for 2026, excluding individual functions,” emphasized Igor Dodik.
He stated that the SNSD had 202,500 and 202,700 votes in 2016 and 2020, respectively, and 229,000 last year, or 13 percent more than the previous ones, and announced that the goal for the 2026 general elections is to exceed 240,000 votes.
SNSD Vice President Miroslav Bojić said that, according to the age structure, 10 SNSD mayors and mayors are up to 39 years old or 22 percent, 22 from 40 to 49 years old or 48 percent, five from 50 to 58 or 11 percent, and nine older than 58 years old.
President of the SNSD Women’s Active Dušica Šolaja reminded that women make up 30.59 percent of the total number of councilor mandates that the SNSD won last year.
“We need an even clearer positioning of the Women’s Active at both the republican and local levels, as well as additional mobilization of members and a range and number of activities,” said Šolaja.
President of the SNSD Youth Ivona Pejašinović said that more than 30 SNSD councilors are younger than 25 years old.
The President of the SNSD City Board in Prijedor, Slobodan Javor, said that this local community has grown together with the SNSD and that, thanks to the leadership of the Republika Srpska, many projects have been implemented in this city and that many more are being implemented.
“This is the city of the SNSD. Everyone knows that and our election results show that, and we also have the largest number of councilors in the City Assembly since the party was founded,” said Javor.
The session was attended by SNSD Vice Presidents Željka Cvijanović, Radovan Višković and Luka Petrović, Secretary General Srđan Amidžić, as well as 337 delegates of the SNSD Main Board.
