The only thing in the world that can have legitimacy is the will of the people, and not the will of a decree or an unelected foreigner, said the former president of Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik.
“The session of the National Assembly of RS (NARS) is only proof that the situation in the RS is stable. Proof is also this decision on the referendum. We are focused on peace and functioning,” said Dodik.
With us, says Dodik, there is zero tolerance for any form of violence, and we will not do that.
“We will make decisions in a democratic way by examining the will of the people,” said Dodik.
“Only they give us lectures, those sleepy democrats. Europe is a lying story. It will collapse in the next year. They have no economy. When have you heard them talking about human rights? There is nothing of European integration. That has failed,” said Dodik.
He added that he himself worked on European issues and believed in that story.
“Why is Dodik guilty. Because he has his own stance. And I worked on the European path. But now it is not so. The circumstances show that the European Union (EU) is lying. Look at the deceit they keep sending us. They send us a foreigner here to impose some rules,” said Dodik.
He says that sovereignty can only belong to the people.
“These are steeped in looting and thievery,” he says.
Dodik says that BiH is a contracted country that arose from the Dayton Agreement, and there, it does not say, but I would like it to say a referendum.
“We will conduct a referendum. I do not want violence, but I want the people to declare themselves in the referendum. I will respect the will of the people, and why does Schmidt not respect it? What is decisive – the will of the people or the will of a decree? That is why they are preventing this story. I do not have to be right or be liked, but it is impossible that I am 100 percent guilty,” said Dodik.
He emphasized that the biggest problem is the servile opposition, which is subject to Sarajevo.
“In BiH, in the end, the will of the people will win. BiH is a failed country of diplomatic adventures that have been happening all these years. The time of referendums is coming by which we will decide about our destiny, and we need to gather,” said Dodik.
The basic right, one of the basic ones, says Dodik, is to choose or to be chosen.
“The constitutive right is to be chosen. It is humiliating for BiH that elections are conducted by foreigners. For foreigners, Dodik is a nightmare,” says Dodik.
They know, says Dodik, that every one of my appearances in the elections is my victory.
“That is what the polls say too,” said Dodik and added, “My offer is the following – let’s return the competences to the RS – to choose its own president, its Parliament, and local communities, and return that form of sovereignty to us. I will not run as a candidate. It is important to me that the RS gets what belongs to it. RS must return to itself,” said Dodik.
He conveyed that his goal is to fight for the RS.
“This referendum is only the first, and whatever its answer will be, I will act accordingly,” said Dodik.
He emphasized that the RS has achieved undeniable successes and that the results are the best proof of that.
It should be recalled that on Friday, 13 conclusions were adopted in the NARS, among which is the conclusion that the Collegium of the National Assembly be tasked with preparing the text of the Resolution on the self-determination of the Serbian people and the RS.
