Former President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik stated that he supports American President Donald Trump publicly and clearly, that he was invited to the Prayer Breakfast in America and that he has no differences with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.
“And what I think is that before Trump, that world was absolutely against us Serbs as a whole, especially in the RS, and we stood up to that world in such a way that we supported and continue to support Trump in his effort to bring some novelty into geopolitical relations,” said Dodik in an interview for the Politico newspaper.
He added that he supported Trump in both mandates, that this did not go unnoticed and that this enabled the “relaxation of our relations that we are now experiencing”.
“His exercise of power stabilizes Serbia”
He said that “the question to be or not to be for Serbia in the next ten years is the position of Vučić in power”, stating that “his exercise of power stabilizes Serbia in an unstable global order”, as well as that “Vučić stabilized Serbia”.
“We need strong personalities. In these uncertain and turbulent moments of history, in the alternative offered by Serbia, I absolutely do not see anyone who could position Serbia in the right way”, pointed out Dodik.
He stated that there is no disagreement with Vučić – neither strategic, operational, nor daily – and that he, as president, works in the interests of Serbia sincerely and to the end.
