Dodik: If Trump wins again, I would not hesitate to declare the Independence of RS

President of Bosnia and Herzegovina entity Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said that he believes in the independence of the RS and that he believes that it will have to happen one day, and that he could be responsible for it in some perspective.

“When Donald Trump won in America, I had the intention to declare the independence of Republika Srpska. Then some around me got scared and I didn’t do it. I have to say that today I regret that I didn’t. But if Trump won again, I think I wouldn’t hesitate,” Dodik told TV Prva.

When it comes to the American sanctions on him and his family, Dodik said that it is no longer impotence, and that he has no right to sacrifice the interests of the RS for the sake of his convenience.

He added that he is proud of his family, adding that they are very conscious and responsible people and that they struggle in life, and that it bothers Americans.

The President of the RS added that he is an elected official and that he has the right to choose how to conduct politics.

“The key issue surrounding me is no longer crime, now everything has come down to rhetoric, that bothers them and that is disastrous for them,” pointed out Dodik.

Speaking about the relationship between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dodik said that the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina is relevant for Serbia, and not one third of that presidency, which consists of Denis Bećirović, who, as he stated, “is a quasi-historian and hates everything Serbian, tells lies, but has no potential to do something”, Klix.ba reports.
