The leaders of the political parties that make up the government at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina reached an agreement in Banja Luka tonight regarding several laws necessary for BiH’s European path, as well as on the chief negotiator of BiH with the EU.

SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said that at today’s meeting of the partners in government at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an important agreement was reached on the negotiator with the EU, where it was agreed that the chief negotiator, the chairman of the Council of Ministers and the minister of foreign affairs cannot be from the same constituent people.

“This will facilitate the appointment of the chief negotiator,” Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka after the meeting of representatives of the political parties that make up the government at the level of BiH.

Dodik stressed that the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina is important, but that the specificities of the country must be taken into account, as well as the coordination mechanism. No matter how many problems there are, we must find a solution.

The SNSD president said that an agreement was reached on several points, and that what is controversial was not discussed.

Dodik said that the formulation of the Growth Plan would be discussed at the meeting on Monday, November 18. He added that the wording would be confirmed at a meeting on Wednesday, November 20.

“Concerns about the law on the protection of personal data will also be resolved, as well as the law on border control, which is very important for the European path,” Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka after a meeting of representatives of the political parties that make up the government at the BiH level.
