The city of Tuzla has announced a public call to rent apartments owned by the city or at the city’s disposal. According to available data, some categories of citizens can rent these apartments for one BAM per square meter.

The public call covers six residential units with areas which range from 16 to 51 square meters. The apartments are located on Dragodol, II Tuzlanska brigada, Meša Selimović, and Ismet Mujezinović streets, as well as in Novo naselje and naselje Kula.

Right to Rent

The suitable candidates are those with unresolved housing needs in Bosnia and Herzegovina who have had registered residence in Tuzla for at least three years.

Candidates cannot be under prosecution, nor have a final and binding conviction for criminal offenses.

Selection is based on a points system that takes multiple factorsinto consideration. The factors include social and healthcare status, length of residence, and service. Categories such as single parents, victims of domestic violence, civilian victims of war, and veterans will have advantage.

For households whose monthly income per member does not exceed 14 percent of the average net salary in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the rent is one BAM per square meter. If the income exceeds this amount, the total rent is three BAM per square meter.

Lowest Price for Specific Categories

The lowest price of one BAM per square meter is intended for specific categories, regardless of income. These include veterans, civilian victims of war, former camp inmates, certain youth groups, children without parental care, and victims of human trafficking.

The public call will be open for 15 days from the date of publication in daily newspapers in the Federation, as well as on the website of the City of Tuzla and the notice board of the competent City Department for Geodetic and Real Estate Affairs.

All additional information is available through official channels.
