In the first seven months of this year, exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) amounted to 10 billion and 68 million BAM, which is 4.5 percent less than in the same period in 2022.
At the same time, imports were 15 billion and 984 million BAM, which is 1.2 percent less than in the same period last year.
The coverage of imports by exports amounted to 63 percent, while the foreign trade deficit amounted to 5 billion and 916 million BAM.
Exports to CEFTA countries amounted to 1 billion and 856 million BAM, which is 4.4 percent less than in the same period in 2022, while imports amounted to 1 billion and 866 million BAM (-4.5 percent). Coverage of imports by exports amounted to 99.5 percent.
Exports to European Union (EU) countries amounted to 7 billion and 430 million BAM, which is 5 percent less than in the same period in 2022, while imports amounted to 9 billion and 345 million BAM (+2.5 percent). Coverage of imports by exports was 79 .5 percent.
What is worrying is that the value of exports has been lower for five consecutive months compared to the same month last year.
