The President of the Republika Srpska entity, Milorad Dodik, addressed reporters and commented on the lifting of his detention after being questioned by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He said he believes his questioning by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is an important matter not only for him, but also for “all those malicious people who wanted destabilization and to create additional problems in Bosnia and Herzegovina through this case”.

Dodik told RTRS that the new reality is that he is no longer banned from traveling abroad and moving around Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“I agreed to come to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina voluntarily and after an hour and a half I received decisions on the lifting of the detention and the lifting of the search warrants in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad. Of course, this is a case that will continue,” Dodik said.

Dodik stated that he must report to the Laktaši police station every 15 days.

“I do not feel triumphant, but tired of everything,” Dodik said.

As a reminder, the Court of BiH issued a decision today accepting the proposal of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH to terminate Dodik’s detention, which means that the arrest warrant that was issued for him is no longer in effect.
