Milorad Dodik (SNSD), a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), continued to attack the role of the Office of the High Representative (OHR) and stated that Christian Schmidt was falsely presenting himself as a High Representative of the international community, “because he is not”.
“What Schmidt is promoting here as his agenda is absolutely not within the competence of the High Representative, which suggests that one should only have increased suspicion and rejection of such a figure. I see Christian Schmidt squandering some optimism and trying to impose an agenda that only he has about himself. What Schmidt is announcing was not the role of the High Representative in BiH in the past,” said Dodik in an interview with Belgrade’s Vecernje Novosti, which will be published today.
Dodik wonders what the High Representative has to do with the issue of the Election Law or why he has to deal with decision-making or constitutional positions.
“It’s nonsense, even Paddy Ashdown didn’t get into it, and now Schmidt is coming to get into it after all this time. Schmidt has nothing to do with BiH’s European path. The European path has always been the property of domestic political forces. They ignore serious progress here, which has been done and constantly make everything problematic, since if he says that the situation is good, then it is meaningless for OHR to exist, “Dodik pointed out, Klix.ba writes.
