The Russian Embassy in Sarajevo informed the public about the telephone conversation between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov and the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Milorad Dodik.

“On February 28th, at the initiative of the BiH side, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with the member of the Presidency of BiH, Milorad Dodik,” it was announced on Monday on the embassy’s Facebook page.

It is interesting that it was revealed that Dodik and Putin reached certain agreements in December last year.

“An exchange of views was done on the implementation of the agreements reached after the meeting of the Presidents of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Milorad Dodik in Moscow in December 2021. Steps have been outlined to intensify efforts in that direction,” it was said.

As it was pointed out, the “common commitment to strict adherence to the Dayton Agreement on BiH, to suppress the growing attempts to change the principles contained in them and approved by the United Nations (UN) Security Council to suit the European Union (EU) and NATO and to the detriment of the people of Republika Srpska (RS)“.

“Detailed explanations of the Russian side regarding the situation around Ukraine, the reasons for the relevant decisions made by the leadership of our country were received with understanding,” it was mentioned in this statement.
