Before its completion, the Company SCT from Slovenia and Osijek-Koteks from Croatia were working on the Sarajevo bypass. However, none of these companies from the EU were not able to finish the job, after which the contracts with them were terminated, and the government, which was headed by Nermin Niksic back then, assigned the job to local companies, Euro-Asfalt and ZGP.
A year later, Sarajevo is getting a modern access to the highway, worth more than 23 million BAM, which domestic companies completed 3 months before the deadline determined by the contract.
Official putting into operation of this road will be on the 24th of November, the eve of the Statehood Day of B&H.
Sarajevo bypass will stay to testify that the Bosnian intelligence can go ahead of those that are coming from the western countries.
